Woman’s body found, husband missing

A highly decomposed body of a woman was found in a house at Tirumangalam in the district on Tuesday.

According to police sources, locals of the Rajaji Street complained of foul smell emanating from the locked house.

The Tirumangalam Town police forced their way into the house and found the body of P. Sumathi (26) lying in a room.

Her husband was said to be absconding.

A case of suspicious death has been registered.

The body was shifted to the Government Rajaji Hospital for post-mortem, the sources added.
