Nine file papers

CHAMARAJANAGAR: Nine nomination papers were filed in Chamarajanagar district by nine candidates on Tuesday. Two nominations each were filed in Kollegal and Hanur and five nominations were filed in Chamarajanagar Assembly Constituency.

No nominations have been filed in Gundlepet Assembly Constituency. A total of 18 papers have been filed so far.

Vatal Nagaraj filed his papers from Chamarajanagar constituency as a Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Paksha

candidate. Mr. Nagaraj, who was accompanied by zilla panchayat member Somanaiaka and a large number of party workers, submitted his papers to Returning Officer K. Rameshwarappa at the Chamarajanagar taluk office.

Mohammed Inayatulla, S. Kunna Madaiah, P. Shankar and Vasimulla also filed their papers from Chamarajanagar

constituency as independent candidates. They too submitted their papers to Mr. Rameshwarappa.

P. Vishnu Kumar filed his papers from Hanur constituency as a Janata Dal (Secular) candidate.

Mr. Kumar, who was accompanied by MP Shivanna and a large number of party workers, submitted his papers to Returning Officer B.L. Balyanayak at Kollegal taluk office. D. Srikanta Swamy also filed his papers from Hanur constituency as a Karnataka Sarvodaya Paksha candidate. He too submitted his papers to Mr. Balyanayak.

J. Teertha Prasad filed his papers from Kollegal constituency as an independent.

He submitted his papers to Returning Officer Sathya Bhama at Kollegal taluk office.

Though Anagalli. M. Basavaraj had submitted his papers on Saturday as an independent from Kollegal constituency, he submitted one more set of papers as a Karnataka Sarvodaya Paksha candidate to Ms. Bhama.
