Traffic curbs for YSR’s visit
Staff Reporter
VISAKHAPATNAM: Motorists will not be allowed to park their vehicles on either side of the road between the Indira Priyadarshini Municipal Stadium and Police Stadium between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
Vehicle parking
The traffic restrictions have been imposed in view of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s scheduled visit to the city. The parking of vehicles will not be allowed between Police Stadium and Jagadamba junction and Siripuram, Maddilapalem Masjid junction to Airport. Pushcarts and luggage rickshaws and petty shops would not be allowed on the above routes. Petty vendors would also not be allowed to sell their wares on the pavements along these roads.
Vehicles will be stopped on the road 15 minutes before the arrival of the Chief Minister’s convoy. They could also be diverted, if necessary, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police P. Viswa Prasad.
Buses brining people to the Praja Patham programme to be held at the Police Stadium would have to take a turn at Sri Kranthi Theatre junction and proceed to Spring Road and drop the passengers there. The buses have to be parked on the Conveyer Belt Road near Sea Horse Junction.
