Moscow varsity team visits UoH
HYDERABAD: A seven-member delegation from the faculty of Journalism, Moscow State University, recently visited the University of Hyderabad and shared political, economic and regional perspectives in the context of Indo-Russian ties and the academic dimensions of the relationship that could be strengthened with regard to social sciences at the School of Social Sciences. The delegation was led by Yassen Zarrousky, president of the faculty of Journalism.
The delegation also participated in a one-day symposium held under the aegis of the Department of Communication, UoH. Faculty of Journalism and Communication from Osmania, EFLU, Pune, Telugu, Karnatak, and Himagiri Universities also participated in the symposium.
Historical and contemporary aspects of Russian media, academic and research pursuits at Moscow State University were presented by the Russian delegation and the Indian delegation shared views on changes in media scenario, language press, new media, pedagogy, ICTs and contemporary training requirements. A contextual perspective of the relationship between the two countries was discussed .
