Dogs bring baby back from grave
Special Correspondent
PATNA: She is destined to live, almost rising from the grave. It is no ghost story, but one scripted by stray dogs in a Bihar village. At Narhan in Samastipur district, the newborn baby girl was abandoned by her mother under a mound of soil on a field on Sunday night.
On Monday, a pack of stray dogs which went there removed the soil and kept barking, drawing the villagers’ attention. Adding to their inquisitiveness was the cry of the child herself. The people then gathered in large numbers to see the rescued child.
She surely is a gift to a childless couple who have since adopted her. Meanwhile, officials are searching for her mother.
