Fresh track for next match at Eden: Daljit

KOLKATA: The Pitch and Grounds Committee Chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Daljit Singh, said that a freshly prepared track would be used for the next match at the Eden Gardens.

“The match next Tuesday (between the host and Mumbai Indians) will be played on a new pitch adjacent to the old track. The new pitch has enough sprinkling of grass,” said Daljit, who had flown in to the city on Monday night at the insistence of BCCI and IPL authorities. — Principal Correspondent
