45 p.c. pass in Intermediate 1st year

VIZIANAGARAM: There was a marginal increase in the pass percentage in the Intermediate first year examination, the results of which were announced on Wednesday.

According to R. Mohana Rao, Regional Inspecting Officer of the Board of Intermediate Education here, 45 per cent of the 18,613 candidates who had appeared for the examination passed.

The percentage was 41.6 the previous year, he said. In the vocational category, 35 per cent of the 2,090 candidates who had appeared for the examination passed.
