12-year-old girl student dies of heart attack

NEW DELHI: A 12-year-old girl student of Amity School in neighbouring Noida collapsed and died of a possible cardiac arrest .

According to the school authorities, Surabhi Rajput of Class VII of the school in Sector 44, was awaiting her turn to play football in the morning when she suddenly collapsed on the field.

Medical unit

“She was rushed to the medical unit of the school where her pulse rate was found to be very low. We informed her parents and rushed her to the nearby Bhardwaj Hospital where doctors pronounced her brought dead.

Doctors informed us that Surbahi had died of cardiac arrest.

The school authorities had no information about any diseases that the child could have had and her parents too did not want an autopsy to be conducted,” said Savita Mehta, vice-president (public relations) of the Amity group of institutions.
