SSA funds for Puducherry

PUDUCHERRY: Education Minister M.O.H.F. Shajahan on Wednesday told the Assembly that the Central government has sanctioned Rs. 12 crore under Sarva Siksha Abhyan for Puducherry. Replying to Nandha T. Saravanan (DMK), he said the funds would be utilised for constructing classrooms and buildings for government schools in the coming academic session.

Mr. Saravanan said that several schools in the town did not have adequate classrooms. He would hold consultation with MLAs to identify the schools that required new buildings.
