MALAPPURAM: The Malappuram District Pravasi Sangham and the School of Educational Research and Human Resources Development will jointly organise a career festival at Kottakkal on Saturday and Sunday.

The festival titled Career Vision 2008 is expected to attract major educational and placement agencies to Plaza Tower, where the two-day mela will be held.

More avenues

The organisers said here on Wednesday that the mela was aimed at introducing avenues of higher education and careers to students and parents from the district.

They said various professional educational institutions from the country would take part in the mela.

Guidance

The mela will give students guidance on pursuing higher education in Britain, the US, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Spain and Ireland.

The organisers said agencies specialising in fields such as medical, engineering, animation, multimedia, tool and dye making, tourism, aviation, hotel management and accounting had confirmed their participation in the mela.

Seminars

Seminars will also be held as part of the mela.

Admission to the career fest will be free. The mela will be on from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
