One held for attack on journalist

MALAPPURAM: The Tanur police have arrested Angathil Faizal, 30, in connection with an attack on a reporter of Varthamanam daily, Manaf M.K, in June last year. Mr. Manaf was waylaid while returning home after work on June 7, 2007. Faizal was produced before the First Class Magistrate Court at Parappanangadi and remanded in police custody for two weeks. — Staff Reporter
