L-G urges people to save environment

NEW DELHI: Delhi’s Lieutenant-Governor Tejendra Khanna has said that Earth Day should not be seen as a one-day event but rather as a catalyst towards building public awareness to encourage a green lifestyle change.

Speaking at a function organised by Paharpur Business Centre and Software Technology Incubator Park here, Mr. Khanna called upon Delhiites to stop use of incandescent light bulbs in their buildings to save the environment: “A compact fluorescent bulb uses only a third of the energy of an incandescent bulb.”
