NDPL installs ‘e-cheque’ drop boxes
Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI: Power distribution company North Delhi Power Limited has installed electronic cheque drop boxes at various locations in its distribution network across North and North-West Delhi. NDPL is the first utility in the Capital to launch such an initiative.
NDPL consumers can make use of these “e-cheque drop boxes”, installed under the brand name “I-Pay”, to deposit their cheques towards electricity bill payment. These e-boxes also generate a valid receipt on depositing the cheque.
“This initiative aims at provide more avenues to our consumers in their neighbourhood for depositing their bills and also get an instant receipt for the same. The conventional cheque drop boxes do not have the option of generating receipts for the payment made,” said an NDPL spokesperson.
Apart from using the drop boxes, consumers can also deposit their cheques/cash at All Time Payment Machines (ATPM) installed at the NDPL Consumer Care Centres or make payment at the Customer Care Counter.
The consumers also have the option of making payment through the Internet at www.ndpl.com
