CISF’s Investiture Ceremony held

GHAZIABAD: The Investiture Ceremony of the Central Industrial Security Force was held here on Wednesday.
CISF Director-General R.K. Das presented 38 police medals for meritorious services and four medals for fire services. Emphasising the achievements of the force, Mr. Das said CISF personnel had not only demonstrated professionalism but also followed the zero error policy.
This year, apart from the 42 police medals and fire services medals, six gallantry medals — two were President’s police medals (posthumous) and four police medals — four police medals for distinguished services, one President’s fire service medal and three Prime Minister’s police medals for life saving were awarded to the CISF personnel. These medals were presented by Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil during the CISF Day Parade on March 10.
