Azeem nets winner
HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Police recorded a solitary goal win over DMRL in the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy Challenge Cup prize money football tournament at Trimulgherry Village Grounds here on Wednesday.
The match-winner came in the second-half through striker Azeem in the 65th minute. Later, he was also named ‘player of the match’ and given Rs. 1000 cash prize.
Mallesham shines
Good bowling by Mallesham (five for 10) helped Eenadu record a five-wicket win over ETV in the inter-media cricket tournament at Lal Bahadur Stadium here.
The scores: ETV 60 in 14.5 overs (Mallesham five for 10) lost to Eenadu 64 for five in 7.3 overs.
Zee Telugu 92 for six in 15 overs (Jayanth 42 not out) lost to Andhra Jyothi 93 for six.
