BANGALORE: The top two seeds in the boys’ under-18 draw, Sriram Gautham and S. Kamal, made their exits from the KIMS-AITA Talent Series junior tennis championship at the KIMS courts here on Wednesday. Rashien Samuel knocked out Gautham with a 6-1, 6-1 win to enter the semifinals while Sagar Manjunath defeated Kamal 6-1, 3-6, 6-4. In the girls’ section, Preethi Ujjini made the last four in the u-18 and u-14 categories. The results: (quarterfinals): Boys: Under-18: Rashien Samuel bt Sriram Gautham 6-1, 6-1; V. Sudarshan bt S. Narayan Swamy 6-1, 6-1; S. Karan bt Uttam Singh 6-1, 6-0; Sagar Manjunath bt S. Kamal 6-1, 3-6, 6-4; Under-14: Kashayap Ashok bt Anthony Savio 6-2, 6-1; Nikhil Reddy bt Evans Mirajkar 6-2, 0-6, 6-3; Rohit Sarvate bt Md. Abrar 6-4, 6-4; Suraj Prabhod bt Madhav Venkataswami 6-3,6-0. Girls: Under-18: Padma Priya bt Vidya Bharat 7-5, 6-1; Likitha Devaraj bt Amala 6-3, 6-1; Preethi Ujjini bt Ravina Shetty 7-6(6), 3-6, 6-2; Rachana R. Gowda bt Nivetha Srinvivas 6-2, 6-3.
