VISAKHAPATNAM: The two-member team from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) comprising of Director of England Cricket, John Carr, and security consultant, R. Dickson, on Thursday visited the ACA-VDCA stadium here, venue for the fifth ODI between England and India to be played on November 25. The ECB team was impressed with the stadium and its facilities. Mr. Carr and Mr. Dickson examined all the infrastructure and facilities. The possibility of the match being converted into a day-night one had emerged after Mr. Carr was told that the flood-lighting facility would be ready by July. The ECB official asked the Andhra Cricket Association to send to ECB a photo of the stadium after the floodlights were installed so that the match could be converted into a day-night match. Dew would not delay the start of match at 9 a.m. even during November as a couple of ODI held in the city in the past commenced on time, the ACA officials added. ACA general secretary V. Chamundeswarnath, vice-president P.R. Narayanaswami and VDCA secretary K. Parthasaradhi and others took the ECB officials around the stadium. BCCI’s Manager (operations) Suru Nayak accompanied Mr. Carr and Mr. Dickson. — Special Correspondent
