BHUBANESWAR: East Coast Railway (ECoR) General Manager A.K. Goyal made a surprise inspection at Bhubaneswar coaching complex on Monday and directed the officials to set right immediately some of the deficiencies which he found out. A railway release said he boarded the Bhubaneswar-Raipur intercity express which was being cleaned in the washing line then and took note of the shortcomings in the coach toilets, seats, electric fittings, window shutters etc. He gave new ideas to improve the look and get up of the coaches. The new colour scheme of the coaches will be put in place shortly, the release said. ECoR chief mechanical engineer V.S. Garg, Khurda Road additional divisional railway manager R.L. Gupta and senior officials accompanied the GM. Earlier the GM participated in the railway week celebrations in the city and urged the workers to make ECoR as number one zone in the country. ECoR Women’s Welfare Organisation president Geeta Goyal inaugurated the celebrations.
