Chandramulinagar, Collectorate, Lakshmipuram, Patnam Bazar, Kothapet and Guntur H.O. were identified as the delivery offices for the IMOs and so far 200 money orders were booked through this cheap and faster mode of transferring money, said Superintendent of Post Offices K. While these Sub-Post Offices had delivered 400 money orders sent from outside, booking had to improve for the IMOs, which were cheaper compared to traditional money orders. One can send only upto Rs.5,000 through traditional MO, but through this any amount between Rs.1,000 and Rs.50,000 with commission as low as Rs.150 for amounts up to Rs.5,000 compared to 5 per cent of the amount in the traditional one. Amounts between Rs.45,001 to Rs.50,000 can be transferred to other destinations within minutes at Rs.330, he observed. For details, one can contact over phone nos. 0863-2255971 and 08645-232203.
