Special camps for patta transfer to be held in Virudhunagar

First one scheduled to be held on May 14

VIRUDHUNAGAR: The district administration has decided to conduct special camps for name transfer of patta and sub-division of patta once in a fortnight.
The Collector, V. Chandrasekaran, said that the camps would be conducted in all firkas.
The first camp would be conducted on May 14 and the next on May 30. Revenue Inspectors, Village Administrative Officer and an official nominated by the district administration would be present at the camp.
The Collector asked the people to submit their applications for name transfer of patta and sub-division of pattas along with the due fees. The applications would be registered and the applicants would be given acknowledgement, he added.
The Collector inaugurated the ‘jama pandhi’ in the district at the Aruppukottai Tahsildar office.
He verified the among others the ‘A’ register, the register of house sites, land tax register, irrigation register and poromboke land register.
