Veda Vidya Sammelan on May 3, 4

VISAKHAPATNAM: The ninth Uttarandhra Veda Vidya Sammelan will be conducted at Sri Suryanarayanaswami Devasthanam in Arasavalli of Srikakulam district on May 3 and 4.

According to managing trustee of the organisers Uttarandhra Veda Vidya Trust, D. Bhaskara Murthy, a procession will be organised near the temple in which about 100 Vedic scholars and students, besides the local people will take part.

All four Vedas would be recited daily in the morning and afternoon followed by a Mahajana Sabha.

Examinations to students studying Vedas would be conducted during the period and they would be honoured on basis of their performance. Vedic scholars would also be felicitated on the occasion, he said.
