3 injured in blast at fireworks unit

VILLUPURAM: In an explosion at a fireworks unit at Kanjanur on the Villupuram–Ginjee main road, three persons sustained burns on Thursday.

The injured were identified as Mohammed Yunous (73), his wife Ajithunnisa (60) and son Babu (33).

A fire broke out in the unit, triggering a blast.

The injured were admitted to the JIPMER Hospital at Puducherry. — Special Correspondent
