BJP leader downplays discord in party

Chitradurga: Trying to downplay the dissidence in the party, Bharatiya Janata Party State vice-president G.M. Siddeshwar, MP, has said it is common during elections, but the party will overcome the problem soon.

Addressing presspersons after inducting former zilla panchayat president H. Hanumantappa of the Congress into the party here on Thursday, he said it was not possible to satisfy every ticket aspirant.

He defended the decision to nominate Shobha Karandlaje and Arvind Limbavali, MLCs, and said both leaders were capable of winning elections.
