Five-member committee appointed to study A.P. doctors’ demands
HYDERABAD: The State Government on Wednesday appointed a five-member committee headed by L.V. Subrahmanyam, Principal Secretary (Health), to study the demands raised by its doctors, including payment of CGHS scales and submit a report with suggestions in a month for a follow-up action. The others members of the committee include Secretaries representing Law and General Administration Department. Meanwhile, Government doctors are continuing their agitation over their charter of demands.
Their main demand is payment of Central Government Health scheme scales.
Reports reaching here suggest that they are not attending their duties at a number of places affecting community health care, family planning operations etc.
They want to intensify their agitation from May 1.
