Temple burgled

NALGONDA: Miscreants broke open the historical Sri Meenakshi Agasteswara Swamy temple situated on the outskirts of Wadapally village in Damarcharla mandal on Wednesday night and took away ornaments worth Rs.1.5 lakh. According to the police sources, the accused persons broke open the sanctum sanctorum of the temple, situated near the confluence of Krishna and Musi. A ‘nagabharanam’ and a ‘shathagopam’ made of silver were found missing. Police booked a case and launched investigation.
