Belgaum: There is neither any force nor influence from any member of his family, yet, nine-year-old Trilok Kamble has donned the role of a street vendor, rather unwittingly.
“I am doing this out of my own interest,” he told this correspondent. When asked if he was not interested in attending summer camps during holidays, he replied in the negative.
Trilok, son of Vijay Kamble, who is a driver in hotel in the city, lives with his parents in a small house at the vegetable market area near Central Bus Terminus here. He a student of one of the most prestigious English medium convent schools in the city. He just passed third standard. He is not interested in games and wants to use his holidays to make some money to meet his expenses.
He caught up with the idea of opening a pan shop in the market as there is none. He has put together a few kitchenware for beetle leaves, arecanut, lime paste and few other ingredients used in pan-making on a small plate, kept it on a wooden plank and named it “Sneha Pan Shop.”
His investment is about Rs. 5. He hopes to make at least Rs. 10 in a day by selling one sweet pan for 50 paise, while the same costs Rs. 2 in other pan shops.
Asked what he would do with the his money, Trilok shies away from disclosing his plans.
