Aloysius college to offer six new PG courses

MANGALORE: St. Aloysius College, an autonomous college under Mangalore University, will start six new postgraduate courses from the academic year 2008-09.

The courses are: M.S. Communication, M.A. in Applied Economics, M.A. in English Literature and Communication, M.Com. in Applied Finance and Accounting, M.Sc. in Holistic and Psychological Counselling and M.Sc. in Biochemistry, a press release from the college said.

The college will offer these courses considering the fast-changing demand from students for need based courses, it said. The college has set up infrastructure needed to start these courses.

M.S. Communication course is aimed at training students in all streams of media both practically and theoretically. Holistic and Psychological Counselling course will deal with anxiety, stress, frustrations, conflicts, psychosomatic illness and strained interpersonal relationships.
