BANGALORE: Royal Challengers Bangalore shored up its bench strength with the arrival of Misbah-ul-Haq, the dashing batsman from Pakistan. On the flip side was the news that South African Dale Steyn’s arrival is slated only for Sunday. Anil Kumble as of now is an unlikely starter for the match against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday, April 26. The Bangalore team had a vigorous work-out on Thursday morning.
The openers of Royal Challengers were put through some innovative practice sessions with Mark Boucher hurtling tennis balls at them with varying bounce. Martin Crowe, Venkatesh Prasad and NCA trainer Paul Chapman oversaw the three hour practice session in the morning. The players also watched some video clips (of each other) where their noteworthy achievements were highlighted.
