ONGC in last four

NEW DELHI: Defending champion Oil and Natural Gas Corporation scored a seven-run victory over OPTO Group in the quarterfinals of the 18th all-India Om Nath Sood memorial cricket tournament at the Roshanara ground on Thursday.

Opting to bat, ONGC piled up 266 thanks to fine batting by Radhey Shyam (63) and Rizwan Shamshad (58).

OPTO’s Rakshit Pant batted well to compile a fluent 80 off 53 balls but his effort went in vain.

The scores: ONGC 266 for six in 40 overs (Radhey Shyam 63, Rizwan Shamshad 58) beat OPTO Group 259 in 39.5 overs (Rakshit Pant 80).
