Movement for peace launched
Announcing the launch of Movement for Peace and Justice (MPJ), its general secretary, Andhra Pradesh, Abu-u-Nasr Abir said it was an attempt to make justice simple and cheaper to a larger number of people.
Speaking at a media conference here on Thursday, he said the aim was to awaken the public by organising them and moving the district administration for solving their problems and to secure rightful status to women in society.
President I.M. Ahmed said we would try to include more intellectuals in the movement. The Visakha All Mosques Association president F.R. Khan also spoke.
MPJ, which has 14 district branches and 78 local branches in the State, has so far enrolled 2,000 persons as members.
