MAHBUBNAGAR: A bridegroom who was to tie the knot on Friday was found murdered on the outskirts of Naganole village, 10 km away from the mandal headquarters town of Nagarkurnool. According to the police, he was killed by his fiancée and her lover.

The Nagarkurnool police said Bhaskar (22), recently selected as a Home Guard, was found dead on Thursday morning.

Case lodged

As the body was found in a decomposed state, police suspected that he was murdered four days ago. The youngster hailing from Desitikala village was supposed to get married to Jayamma (18), a native of Naganole, on Friday.

According to the police, Jayamma, who was in love with Mallesh, a tractor driver, called Bhaskar to her village and allegedly killed him with the help of Mallesh and another accused Suresh who is at large. The police found the body after Bhaskar’s parents lodged a missing case. The sniffer dogs which were pressed into the service found his decomposed body in the hillocks.
