Case against official: court calls for records
Legal Correspondent
HYDERABAD: Justice Nooty Ramamohana Rao of the A.P. High Court on Thursday called for records pertaining to orders of the Government dropping proceedings against Kamaruddin, enginer in Tribal Welfare Department and a close relative of Jannat Hussain, officer in Chief Minister’s office.
The writ petition was filed by Narender Reddy who claimed that he was the contractor who suffered at the hands of the delinquent officer. The petitioner wondered how proceedings could be dropped against the officer who was indicted on various occasions.
He made the Chief Minister, Minister of Tribal Welfare as party respondents along with Jannat Hussain.
The Judge was not inclined to order notices to the Ministers. The judge adjourned the matter for Monday and the Government will submit the records on Friday.
