PSLV-C9 launch campaign on in Sriharikota
Special Correspondent
Thiruvananthapuram: The PSLV-C9 carrying two Indian and eight foreign satellites will be launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on April 28.
A press note issued here on Thursday said the launch campaign was progressing at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota.
India’s satellites include Cartosat-2A and Indian Mini Satellite-1. Cartosat-2A is the country’s latest remote sensing satellite that weighs 690 kg. It will pair up with Cartosat-2, which is already in orbit, to transmit pictures taken with panchromatic cameras.
The Indian Mini Satellite-1 weighs 83 kg. The foreign satellites are all mini satellites and were being launched under a commercial agreement with Antrix Corporation.
