Triple treat: Sachin Tendulkar, Vikrant Yeligati (left) and Luke Ronchi cut a cake to celebrate their birthdays. Chennai: Sachin Tendulkar celebrated his 35th birthday in the company of the Mumbai Indians team, with hordes of reporters and photographers in attendance at the team hotel here on Thursday. One of India’s greatest sportsperson was presented a book Tendulkar, The Irreverent Unauthorised Biography, on behalf of Mumbai Indians, to mark the occasion. The book is a compilation of quotes on Tendulkar from family and friends, apart from former and present cricketers including the legendary Donald Bradman. Tendulkar also cut a birthday cake with Luke Ronchi and Vikrant Yeligati, who had their birthdays on Wednesday, before making a quick exit with his team-mates. The Mumbai Indians captain sat out of his side’s first two IPL games, but is expected to be fit for the game against Kings XI Punjab at Mohali. Tendulkar, who made his debut in November 1989, has since then piled on 39 Test centuries and 42 ODI hundreds.
