TIRUCHI: Kaveri Medical Centre (KMC) has opened free bed facility for the people belonging to the economically weaker sections at Seahorse Hospital on Friday. The hospital, which has been conducting free out-patient consultation once every week, would now cut off the bed charges for people below poverty line. Presently, 15 beds were categorised for the purpose and an equal number to be added shortly, Managing Director of KMC S. Chandrakumar said. Free out-patient consultation was done for general medicine, general surgery, orthopaedics, ENT, and obstetrics and gynaecology and more departments would be included. Deputy Mayor M. Ambazhagan inaugurated the facility.
