Thirukalyana utsavam at SASTRA

KUMBAKONAM: Thousands of people witnessed Sri Padmavathi Srinivasa Thirukalyanam at Srinivasa Ramanujan centre of Shanmugha Arts Science Technology and Research Academy (SASTRA) University at Kumbakonam on Friday. The utsavam was organised by Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam and SASTRA University. According to R. Sethuraman, Vice-Chancellor of SASTRA, many people in villages in and around Kumbakonam may not be able to go to Tirupathi and witness the Thirukalyanam there. With a view to provide them an opportunity to witness the celestial event, Thirukalyana Utsavam was arranged by SASTRA. Officials of Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam participated.
