Decision on greenfield airports hailed

CHANDIGARH: Deepender Singh Hooda, MP, on Friday appreciated the Union Cabinet’s decision to relax the condition for setting up greenfield airports within a radius of 150 km from existing airports.

In a statement here, the Congress MP thanked UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for the “historic decision which would further accelerate the pace of development in the country”.

Mr. Hooda urged the Prime Minister to set up an airport in Jhajjar district.
