Rupee recovers

MUMBAI: The dollar ended cheaper against the rupee at 40.12/13 on Friday.

The rupee closed at Rs. 40.17/18 a dollar on Thursday.

The Reserve Bank of India, however, fixed the reference rate for dollar at 40.18 and the rate for single European unit at 62.90.

The rupee premiums on forward dollar ended higher on fresh paying pressure from banks and corporates. — PTI
