VIZIANAGARAM: Socio-Political Analysis and Research Centre (SPARC), a non-political organisation, launched its two-day sadassu at Rice Millers’ Community Hall here on Saturday.

Objective

The objective of the sadassu was to educate people and prepare them for a confrontation with the government for economic, social and political justice, according to G. Sambasiva Rao, State observer.

In an interaction with media persons, Mr. Sambasiva Rao, an advocate, said that a few intellectuals started SPARC but refused to divulge their names.

He said it would support parties that work in harmony with the people’s expectations and aspirations.

At the sadassu, the repeated use of word “mega” by him invited cheers from a gathering comprising youth and it appeared that it was an exercise to feel the pulse of people particularly the youth.

He repeatedly said that a new order was the need of hour to plug the void between haves and have-nots and equal justice to all communities. K.S. Sastry, freedom fighter from Visakhapatnam spoke on corporate farming and its effect on poor farmers.
