Vatal moots rebels’ club

Special Correspondent

Bangalore: Those who have been denied party nominations and are contesting as rebel candidates need not feel lonely if a proposal by Vatal Nagaraj of the Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Paksha bears fruit.

In his inimitable style, he has suggested that all rebel candidates get together to float a federation. Mr. Nagaraj told presspersons here on Saturday that the rebel candidates are the “really honest party workers” who have spent their lives working for their respective parties. They are disillusioned because rank outsiders have been given ticket without a thought for all their hard work.

He said, “If they stand united they will emerge as a powerful voice in the Vidhana Soudha.” They were welcome to join the Vatal Paksha, he added.
