Woman shot at, robbed

PALAKKAD: A 61-year-old woman was shot at and relieved of her gold ornaments at Vadakkumcherry at 9 a.m on Saturday. The police said the assailants who came in a car attacked Lakshmi, wife of Velayudhan of Cherkunnu at Kannampara, when she was returning after visiting a neighbour. The victim was admitted to the Thrissur Medical College.
