Vizag thrashes Hyderabad

VIJAYAWADA: Vizag thrashed Hyderabad 5-0 on the inaugural day of the four-day league-cum-knockout AP sub-junior girls’ hockey championship at the Acharya Nagarjuna University campus on Saturday.

The results:

Vizag 5 bt Hyderabad 0, Nizamabad 1 bt Warangal 0, Medak 5 bt Prakasam 0, Nellore 3 bt Kurnool 0, Guntur 1 drew with Ranga Reddy 1.

Summer camps

Anjaneya Yuvajana Sangham (Hashmathpet) will organise summer coaching camp in football and athletics from April 27 to June 8.

Krishna District Sports Authority has announced month-long summer camps in various sports from May 1 at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium, Vijayawada.

The Visakhapatnam District Amateur Boxing Association is conducting summer coaching camps at 31 venues in the city and suburbs. The camps would be held from the first week of May to first week of June.
