Prasanna scores a hat-trick

HYDERABAD: Striker David Prasanna scored a hat-trick in the second session to fashion AGORC’s impressive 3-0 win over State Bank of Hyderabad in the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy Challenge Cup prize money football tournament at Trimulgherry Grounds here.

After a barren first-half, Prasanna struck thrice in the second session. Bank player Prakash got a red card for rough play. Prasanna, who guided his team into the semifinals, was also adjudged ‘best player’ of the match and presented a cash award of Rs. 1,000.

Pravith sparkles

Good spell by ‘man of the match’ Pravith (four for five) helped Hyderabad Corporate Cricket Elite XI record a seven-wicket win over RR Cat XI in the T20 Corporate Challenger Trophy cricket championship in Indore, according to information received here.

The scores:

Press Club 153 for five (Virendra Yadav 68, Sanjay Lunawat 42 not out) lost to Yeshwant Club 155 for three (Jhabha 71 not out).

RR Cat XI 74 for eight (Pravith four for five) lost to HCCE XI 75 for three.

HHCE XI 153 for eight (Prakash 46) bt State Bank of Indore 92 (Fahad four for nine).

Raj Express 67 lost to Centre for Advance Technologies 68 for two.

Andhra Jyothi wins

Andhra Jyothi recorded a 29-run win over CTV in the inter-media cricket tournament here.

The scores:

Andhra Jyothi 107 for seven bt CTV 78 for seven.

TV-9 73 lost to NTV 75 for five.

Nationial XI 124 for seven (Raman 61) bt Maa TV 59.
