Assault suspected

NEW DELHI: In what is suspected to be a case of criminal assault, a minor girl was found with injury marks over her body in Kamla Market here on Saturday.

According to the police, a policeman found the eight-year-old girl crying near a police post in the area in the evening. The girl complained of pain in her private parts and was taken to a hospital for medical examination.

“The possibility of a criminal assault cannot be ruled out,” said the Station House Officer of Kamla Market, Bala Sharma.
