Youth killed in drunken brawl

CHENNAI: In a drunken brawl, a 35-year-old man allegedly killed a youth at a TASMAC outlet near Egmore Railway Station on Saturday evening.
Police identified the accused as S. Aditya Kamal of Khajamalai, Tiruchi, working as a cleaner with a private lorry service. According to the police, He got in to a wordy altercation with another person at the liquor bar and they exchanged blows. In a fit of anger, Aditya Kamal allegedly stabbed the youth with a knife.
The bar attenders and a few others caught Aditya Kamal and handed him over to the Egmore police. The knife was also recovered from him.
The deceased is yet to be identified.
The body has been sent to Government General Hospital for post-mortem. The Egmore police have registered a case of murder.
