FSCA registers a 10-wkt. win

CHENNAI: FSCA registered a 10-wicket win in the Kedar’s Pearls under-11 cricket tournament on Saturday.

The scores:

Kedar ‘B’ 74 in 20.5 overs lost to FSCA 76 for no loss in 11.1 overs.

BSCA 103 for seven in 25 overs (Adithya Raghuram 30) lost to Kedar ‘A’ 104 for four in 14.4 overs (Pranav 34 n.o.).

Kedar ‘C’ 81 in 19.3 overs (Adithya Kamaraj four for 10, Rishi Charan three for 14) lost to BSCA 82 for three in 12.4 overs.

Ball badminton meet

St. Joseph’s College of Engineering will organise the 54th edition of the senior National ball badminton championship for men and women and the third mixed mini doubles championship from May 1 to 4 at its sports village.

Briefing presspersons on Saturday, the College’s Director, Babu Manoharan said the response has been overwhelming for this mega event, which would feature 25 men’s and 19 women’s team from various States.

Dominic triumphs

G.D. Dominic won the senior singles title of the Kancheepuram district carrom championship for the Sankaran rolling trophy. He beat G. Chandrasekhar 25-10, 23-21 in the final held recently.

In the non-medallist singles, C. Shankar of Air India defeated P. Bhaskar 23-9, 14-19, 11-6 in the final.

Cricket tournament

Asiatic Cricket Academy will conduct a tournament for school and coaching academy under-12 and under-14 boys from the first week of May at AREVA (English Electric) grounds, Pallavaram. For registration, contact G. Sundaresan (9444044340) or R. Chandrasekar (9444384678).

TT camp

Young Men’s Indian Association will conduct a table tennis camp for boys and girls between the ages of six and sixteen at its premises in Mylapore from May 1. Call 9444414474 or 9884232667 for details.
