BANGALORE: Dr. T.V. Venkatachala Shastri, a former lecturer in Mysore University has been selected for the “Masthi Prashasti 2008” Award instituted by the Dr. Masti Venkatesh Iyengar Award Committee. The award is conferred on those who have done yeoman service to Kannada literature. The award will be conferred on Mr. Shastri in June 2008. The award includes a citation, memento, and Rs. 25,000.
