Vigilance raids houses of top Bihar official

Patna: Special vigilance wing of Bihar on Sunday raided the house and flat of Director, Rajbhasha, D N Choudhary, at Muaffarpur and here and seized papers relating to his properties valued over Rs. 1crore, IG (SVW) A K Upadhyay said. Soon after registering a disproportionate asset (DA) case charging Mr. Choudhary with accumulating wealth over Rs.55 lakh disproportionate to his known sources of income today, the sleuths raided his bungalow at Muzaffarpur where they seized registration deeds of four plots in the town, besides papers relating to his having a three acre land in Bochaha in Muzaffarpur district, Mr. Updhyay said. The vigilance officials also searched his flat in Boring Road locality in Patna.-PTI
