Rape accused acquitted

New Delhi: A 29-year-old man charged with kidnapping and raping a girl has been acquitted by a Delhi court after it noted that the victim herself had not deposed against the accused and had given a clean chit to him.

Exonerating the accused Sab Babu, the court said, “The prosecution has miserably failed to establish the fact that the accused was the person who had kidnapped and raped the girl.”
