MYSORE: Former MLA and rebel Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Maruti Rao Pawar has withdrawn from the fray in Narasimharaja Assembly Constituency. Mr. Pawar, who withdrew his nomination on Saturday, declared his support for the official BJP candidate B.P. Manjunath. Mr. Pawar was aspiring for party nomination. But when the party re-nominated Mr. Manjunath, an upset Mr. Pawar entered the fray as an independent. He withdrew after the former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa spoke to him over the telephone.
